Consistency and Style

Based upon our translation activities, we have compiled a glossary of the words, terms and phrases which are most commonly used by our clients in their valuation/appraisal and financial activities.

Our glossary not only contains the words, terms and phrases in German with their English equivalents but also contains the various American or British English variations.

Our glossary is continuously updated as we undertake new translation and editing assignments.

We compile a glossary of terms for each client. As a result, the vocabulary used in each of your assignments is consistent. Moreover, if you already have a glossary of preferred terms, simply send it to us and we will use those terms in our work on your document.

Our ‘wordsmithing’ (i.e. finding and using just the right word in your document) is a continuous process. As a result, our long-standing clients or clients with large projects will often find that we will suggest words which we feel are more appropriate for a particular situation. 

Our library

Our library contains Immobilen Zeitung‘s Real Estate Dictionary, as well as numerous

other English-only and German-only real estate, architecture, construction and financial

and accounting dictionaries.    

We utilize numerous online resources in real estate, construction, architecture,

engineering, and finance/accounting.

For property valuations / appraisals, we utilize dictionaries published by highly respected professional organizations in the UK and US.
